Overview
***In early 2023, the Southern Belle interior was painted and redecorated. We're excited about the much needed face-lift! I hope all of our guests enjoy the new look!
This spacious 3200 sf home, located in a secluded and peaceful setting, sleeps 15 max. The beach is about 3-4 minutes away by golf cart. There are two primary suites - one upstairs and one down. The home boasts a 20 x 36 great room, a 50-foot front porch with rockers, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, a screened porch on the back with skylights, large back deck with Weber grill, and gorgeous views filled with trees and wildlife. New wood floors, bedding, towels, kitchen essentials, etc., have been added this year.
The first floor primary suite boasts a 7-foot marble shower with two shower heads, jacuzzi, and king-size bed. There are two other bedrooms on the first floor, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds; these share a Jack and Jill bathroom. The second floor primary suite has a queen bed, a twin daybed, and a private bathroom. The other second floor bedroom has two twin size beds, a queen size bed, and a bathroom. NEW IN 2023; a twin daybed with a twin trundle now occupies the loft space on the second floor (day bed and trundle will only be set up for large parties upon request. There is an additional $50 fee to set up/ prepare the trundle bed)
All bedrooms have cable tv and ceiling fans. House has free wifi.
There is plenty of parking for at least five cars.
New 6-person cart and 4-person cart are available for additional fees. It is required that guests accept the otherwise optional damage insurance policy (the $5,000 one for about $80) through Fripp Island Stay if they choose to rent golf carts.
Fripp Island is a private, gated community that offers beautiful beaches, fishing, lots of wildlife, restaurants, and golf. Fripp Club amenity cards can be purchased on your rental contract ($35 or $50 a week for each person, depending on the time of year) for access to seven island pools, exercise facility, island activities, golf, tennis, food court, and restaurants. Children under 13 do not need cards, and cards are not necessary to use beaches. ***Starting 2/24/23, the resort will charge a 12.8% resort fee based on the gross rental price for the home on top of the guest card fee. This only affects guests purchasing amenity cards. ******
We do not charge a security deposit with the understanding that if there are damages, your credit card will be charged. Please note that between Memorial Day and Labor Day we rent in weekly increments from Sunday to Sunday.
Please note that the daybeds and trundle beds are are availabile for parties of 14+. The beds need to be requested ahead of the stay. There is a $50 additional fee to set up /prepare the trundle bed. Guests will not be able to access/ set up the trundle bed themselves.

Other Fees
Rates do not include a 11% state/county tax, 3% service fee, and a 1% island fee. Merchant fee is avoided if pay via check. Cleaning fee is $400 per stay, and is a pass-through expense (no mark-up). Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.
Payments & Policies
Confirmation Deposit
If you are applying for a rental period that is less than six (6) months away, one half of total amount due must be received within 7 days to secure your reservation. Remainder is due 90 days prior to your rental period. If you are applying for a rental period that is less than 90 days away, the entire amount must be received within 7 days to secure your reservation.
Payment Methods
Personal Check (avoid the credit card fee), Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), Cash, or Money Order. A $35 charge will apply for all returned checks.
Cancellation and Refunds
If you cancel, no refund unless house can be re-rented for the same price during the same time. In the case of a Mandatory evacuation of the Island due to hurricane, storms or other, we will accommodate any unused days to another available time, or we will refund the remainder of the rent. To insure your vacation investment we do offer Travel Insurance protection.

Our annual vacation at Fripp Island is the highlight of our year! Getting to stay in your beautiful homes over the years have made our stays even more memorable! The Southern Belle I this summer was spacious enough for our entire family...the furnishings are sensational...not only comfortable but unique! The yellow hummer caught the eyes of everyone we passed...the Club car held a larger group to visit the ocean...but, wait, it only gets better! The family pictures made on the Surrey with the Fringe On Top are the envy of everyone! We can't leave out the daily Deer sightings! The children loved feeding our scraps to them...our two-year-old Great Grandson squealed with delight at their daily visits! The screened porch on the back with the paddle fan had to be one of my most favorite places...so quiet, peaceful and relaxing! We're already talking about next year! Thank you for allowing us to "pretend" your house was ours for one unforgettable week! No one does VACATION like the DeLucas!

Mr. De Luca opened his home to myself, my family and my friends (some coming from as far as OH and NJ) for my wedding weekend 03/18-03/21 of 2010. I was married on the 20th of March at the Fripp Island Chapel. :-) This house was my one and only pick to have my family and friends stay w/us, on the island. My love for my job and Fripp Island (I'm a security officer w/FISD) gave me the idea to have my special day on the island in the beautiful chapel. Mr. Deluca's home was positively beautiful, well-kept and pristine! From state-of-the-art appliances, to cozy beds and plenty of entertainment for the kids AND adults. Everyone slept well in their comfy beds and enjoyed the spacious bathrooms and living space. I especially liked the primary bedroom and bathroom. The shower was one of a kind and VERY accessible for a bride-to-be w/a very sore back. :-) The Southern Belle is a home I would recommend to ANY family for vacations, wedding weekends or just a romantic getaway. I will leave you w/a comment my ten year old daughter said, the moment she walked into the house, "Mom! I want to live here!!"Thanks again Mr. Deluca for helping to make my wedding weekend so special!!

For all you families who want to share in the wonderful moment of seeing your new Marine graduate from Paris Island, staying at the glorious Southern Belle is a must. Only 30 minutes from the base, it is luxury and southern charm to the fullest. The accommodations were beyond anything we had expected and Mike DeLuca, makes you feel so very welcome in his home. Our whole family was able to be with us during our week at the Southern Belle, and everyone enjoyed all the little niceties Mike provided. Golf carts and bikes, pancake mix, even a bottle of wine! Although we had cold weather and lots of rain, we kept in mind that it was January and we really weren't there for the weather. But I'll bet this glorious mansion would be perfect during those lazy, hazy southern summer days. Thanks Mike for making our special occasion perfect. Fripp Island is my favorite place in the whole world! I look forward to spending a week there every summer with my best friend and her family. We're always the coolest ones on the island driving around in the yellow Hummer golf cart, and the house has everything you could ever want. Thank you so much for the opportunity to come back summer after summer and make new memories. I love vacationing with the De Luca Family :)

It was such a nice getaway for us. Fripp Island is such a great setting for some quiet time and the Southern Belle was a great place to relax and enjoy ourselves. The owner was great and made sure we had everything we needed and that there were no problems. Thanks so much!

The Southern Belle was wonderful - it had everything and more. Very spacious, we had lots of room to entertain visiting family. In a good location, surrounded by trees and deer, great for walking the trails and with the golf carts and bikes the beach was very accessible. Our favourite pastime was riding bikes on the beach. The pool was great and soothing to look out over the ocean. Side trips to beautiful Savannah and Beaufort were made on the cooler days. The food everywhere was wonderful -try the She Crab Soup. Cooking meals at the Southern Belle was a delight with all the fresh seafood available. Michael was a most hospitable host and addressed our every need. We certainly will return to the Southern Belle. Thank you Michael for a great vacation.
From the moment we walked into the Southern Belle we felt like we were home. We were a large group but never felt as though we were on top of each other. Greg was very responsive to all of our questions and checked in with us to make sure our stay was amazing. We stay on Fripp a few times a year and the kids say we have to stay at the Southern Belle again. I totally agree.
