The Byrd Nest is a NEW home (completed 2022) just steps to the ocean on beautiful Fripp Island. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the island with a glass of ice-cold sweet tea in hand while rocking on a rocker on the front porch. Load up the golf cart or just pack the wagon and head to the beach. Cook up some low country delicacies in our beautiful kitchen or out on the grill. Everyone will feel at home and have their own space to retreat to at night. Each bedroom (with the exception of the bunkroom) has its own bathroom. Game room and space for the kids to hang out – Check! Big screened in porch on back of home to chill in the evenings while watching deer play or eat dinner al fresco. More fun to be had in the over 1500 sq ft of covered space beneath the house – foosball, cornhole, bimini ring toss, HUGE connect four, GIANT jenga and various other games to enjoy! So many special surprises await you and your family at The Byrd Nest.
The guest who books the reservation must be 25 years or older and must be present for the length of the stay in the property.

Club cards give guests access to all Fripp Island Resort amenities. These include:
- Two 18-hole golf courses (named as a "100 Best Golf Resorts in North America" by Links Magazine)
- Ten-court Racquet club complex with year-round Tennis and Pickleball on eight soft Fast-Dry courts and two hard surface courts
- Fitness Center (accompanied guests pay guest rate)
- A variety of on-island shops and restaurants
- Five sparkling swimming pool complexes
- Island Excursion Rentals (golf carts, beach bikes, scooters, boats, etc.)
- A full-service, deep-water Marina.
If you have not been to Fripp Island let us explain the resort amenities are limited to persons who have purchased Fripp Island Resort Club cards. This property does have these cards available for purchase. Cost in “season” is $50 for 7 night stays and $35 for 3 night stays. Off season prices are $35 for 7 night stays and $25 for 3 night stays. Fripp Island Resort Club Cards give guests access to restaurants: (hours may vary in off-season), bars (in restaurants & specific pools); swimming pools (closed Thanksgiving through Spring Break); tennis/pickle ball, golf, rentals, marina, fitness center and some of the shopping. Everyone age 13 and up are required to have Club Cards if you want access to the resort amenities. Our suggestion is if you choose to do the cards keep them with you at all times. You will be asked to show them at different locations - pool entrances, restaurants etc. A new 12.8% of the total rent resort fee will be charged in addition to the cost of the individual club cards for access to the resort amenities.
Beach and a couple shops (Mangos, Springtide Market & Marina Store) do not require guest cards for shopping.
Payments & Policies
Confirmation Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation. Balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. No reservation is confirmed until the Rental Agreement(s) have been accepted and a deposit received.

Cancellation and Refunds
Should you wish to cancel this reservation, notice of cancellation MUST BE IN WRITING AND RECEIVED MORE THAN 60 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK IN DATE. We will refund the sums you have paid, less the credit card transaction fee(s), if paid by credit card. If your notice of cancellation is RECEIVED LESS THAN 60 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK IN DATE, you will forfeit all sums paid, except your security deposit, unless we are able to re-rent the property to someone else, at the same rate, for the same period.

This is not only the best rental in the island but the best rental I have ever seen! Brand new construction and appointments you never see in a rental. Amazing. Every little detail has be taken into account. Highly recommend.
We stayed in The Byrd Nest during the first week of July. There isn’t anything this house is missing! The owners have thought of everything you need to enjoy a week at the beach. The furnishings and decorations are beautiful and perfect for this island home. We enjoyed a week with our extended family of 12 total (6 adults and 6 kids) and we were very comfortable. The beds are comfy and there is enough space for everyone to enjoy time together and time on their own. The porches are wonderful and the lower level was so much fun with all of the games the Byrd’s have included in their home. They have included all kinds of fun info about the area and ways to fill your days with memories. We hope to stay in this beautiful home again. They are extraordinary hosts.
The Byrd Nest is a fabulous beach house. House was fully stocked with everything you need and more. Communication was amazing. Definitely would recommend this property to our family and friends.
The Byrd Nest really needs TEN STARS rather than just 5. Best property on Fripp Island! No detail or comfort left out. We had such a good time during our visit. Highly recommend for your next vacation!
Oh my, what an awesome home! The posted photos show a beautifully decorated house, but they don't do this property justice. What you can't see is the incredible attention to detail behind every door and in every drawer. These owners have poured their love for getaways and Fripp Island into every inch of this dream home. They have set their guests up for a perfect vacation with surprises around every corner. Our group of seven was so tickled and within minutes of arriving declared we'd be back next year, making The Byrd Nest our annual getaway destination. Four days later, we didn't want to leave. Five stars isn't an honest evaluation. It deserves 10+ stars!

This is a lovely home! It is well appointed. The owners have literally thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It is very close to access #11 which is a nice area of the beach. The owners are kind and gracious.
