Four Bedroom House sits elevated above the Atlantic Ocean.
Fishing boats and dolphins pass by so close you can see the dolphins feed and blow through their blowholes often with babies following. As the tide changes throughout the day so do the views. Something is always putting on a show, whether it's the sunrise, eagles and ospreys catching fish in their talons, deer walking or running by, fishermen catching crabs or fish, or the dolphins!! It's truly amazing to watch from the 4 rocking chairs on the spacious front porch and balconies (4 more rocking chairs) while you sip your favorite drink, relax, read, or enjoy your family and friends.
This house is on the 18th fairway of Ocean Point Golf Course.
The beach is close by and there is a private outside shower attached to the back of the house to wash the sand off when you return.
Swimming pools? The Fripp Island Club alone boasts nine sparkling pools. The Cabana Club offers multiple choices-a magical lagoon-style pool with waterfalls, cascading flowers, islands and caves, an oval oool and a kids' pool with a giant frog slide.
Club Cards are available through the owners. From Memorial Day to Labor Day they are $50.00 each for a full seven days. Children under 13 years of age do not need cards for access but must be accompanied by an adult. Off-season they are only $35.00 for a full seven days. They are worth the money as they allow you to access golf, pools, restaurants, marina, rentals, and so much more.
A new 12.8% of the total rent resort fee will be charged in addition to the cost of the individual club cards for access to the resort amenities.
Sitting & rocking on the front porch overlooking the ocean is a favorite pastime while drinking your favorite beverage and sharing stories. You won't want to leave. You will be at one of the best places on the island. The privacy is splendid!
The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to create wonderful meals. Fresh shrimp, oysters, crabs, grouper and other seafood is available for purchase close by. Cook in the kitchen or on the Blackstone gas grill. There is a wine fridge, excellent dishwasher, plenty of counter space, and many odds and ends you won't find in other homes. Fun dishes and a great blender for those "Jimmy Buffet" drinks!
This home is appointed to please others. Our private housekeeper prides herself in being the best and maintains the house remarkably well. She believes "good enough seldom is"!
There are three garage doors downstairs housing two golf carts, four bicycles, beach toys, a propane Blackstone grill, a ping pong table and ample space to park two cars. The driveway can easily hold six more cars, so parking is not a problem.
There are deer all over the place and easy to spot out the kitchen window, particularly early in the morning and just around sunset. The backyard leads onto the 18th fairway just below the tee-box. Looking down the fairway to the east is the Atlantic Ocean just a few feet behind the 18th hole.
There are 3 Smart TVs in the house with high speed internet. If there's a rainy day you might want to access Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, or any streaming account you have.
Downstairs features a full bath, combination bedroom/game-room with games, puzzles, a pool table and a couch for relaxation.
Two Yamaha Golf Carts (2018) ARE INCLUDED in your stay – no need to rent golf carts separately!

Cancellation and Refunds
Should you wish to cancel this reservation, notice of cancellation MUST BE IN WRITING AND RECEIVED MORE THAN 60 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK IN DATE. We will refund the sums you have paid, less the credit card transaction fee(s), if paid by credit card. If your notice of cancellation is RECEIVED LESS THAN 60 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK IN DATE, you will forfeit all sums paid, except your security deposit, unless we are able to re-rent the property to someone else, at the same rate, for the same period.

Ohhh Higher Porpoise…we have been to Fripp for years, and we’ve stayed in lovely places, but never anything like this house and retreat. The views are indescribably beautiful (and often dolphin filled) and visible throughout the upstairs. Sunrises were so good that we got up almost every day of our 2 weeks to watch (sometimes with deer joining us just outside). Coffee in a rocker in the morning, playtime on the island all day, then return to bliss. Everything is comfortable, clean, and beautiful, complete witn a primary shower we’re now determined to mimic at home, a great pool table that entertained the kids without adults having to hover, ping pong in the garage, and a wonderfully stocked kitchen that felt almost like cooking at homs. We booked our next trip before leaving the island, and we are counting down the days. PS, the gift basket contained an almond champaigne from southern california that our best friends served at their wedding. It was another of a long line of personal touches the property’s owners/managers have provided to welcome their guests homs. Thank you!!!
We’ve stayed at this beautiful house 3 years in a row and we love it so much. It’s big enough to bring our daughter and her boyfriend, our son and our daughter’s roommate and her boyfriend. Everyone had their own bedroom and we were never crowded. The rocking chairs on the front porch are the highlight for us! We get up before the Sun and sit in them and then every evening after dinner as well! Dolphins are all over right in front of you and we enjoy the osprey diving for fish! Everything you could ever need is provided and the shower in the primary bedroom… it’s amazing!!! We will be back next year!

Higher Porpoise is a beautiful, welcoming home. This was our first time on Fripp and we are so grateful that we chose this house. The views are just beautiful. The amenities such as the golf carts and bikes made it easy to enjoy the island life. The home itself was spotless with a nice welcome basket that included wine, snacks and coffee. We look forward to returning and wish more rentals had the attention to detail like this one.
Higher Porpoise was better than we could have imagined. The front porch has incredible water views with porpoise sitings. We loved using the bikes and golf carts to get around the island. The kitchen was one of the best we have used in a vrbo. There was everything you needed and then some. Make sure to check out Gay Fish company. We made a shrimp boil one night and the fresh shrimp made it. The home was very clean which I’m super picky about. If planning a stay at Fripp, this is an excellent home!!
We absolutely loved our week at 507 Porpoise Drive! The house and the views were spectacular! We will definitely book this house again! Everyone we dealt with David, Erica, and Marnie were extremely friendly and wonderful to deal with! We saw porpoises every day and even a bald eagle on the sandbar in front of house! There is, quite simply, no better view on the island than the one offered by the front rooms and the front porch of this marvelous home. This was our second stay in this house, and i can no longer tolerate the thought of a year without our 2 weeks dolphin watching, sunrise basking, supermoon witnessing spot. We already fell in love with the island about 10 years ago, but this house…it is now my favorite place on my favorite island. I cannot thank the folks who manage this gem enough. And I cannot wait to be back again next year. Literally, I may not be able to wait…I’m looking at a possible second trip this winter just to tide me over. What do we love? Golf carts, sooo many dolphins (we even saw a feeding frenzy with about 20 dolphins encircling their fish dinner, whacking them out of the water with their tails!!), coffee on the porch every morning, rocking under the fans and listening to the cicadas, greeting the doe and fawn who liked visiting our back yard daily, taking out the inner tubes and boogie boards for daily wave riding, and just being all together, playing ping pong or pool or sharing stories over dinner at the giant square table. Everything we need for a perfect vacation is here in this beautifully maintained, comfortable, clean happy place.
Beautiful house with an even more beautiful view! Enjoyed the sunrises every morning from the front deck. House was very well stocked. Thank you for sharing all your toys! We had a wonderful time with extended family and there was still plenty of room. If we plan a trip back to Fripp, will definitely want to stay at Higher Porpoise!!
That view! We had a fantastic stay! Of all the beach homes we’ve stayed in over the years, none have been as well appointed as this one. It had everything we need to have an enjoyable trip. The house is well maintained, clean and up to date. I could not ask for more. We will definitely be back!
This was a great house! The view was amazing!!! being able to sit on your porch and watch dolphins in the inlet is something you can't beat. The house was well stocked with everything you would need. The extra items like golf carts and bikes were well maintained and were so great to have. We hope to go back soon!
Our Fripp Island stay was a dream! SPACIOUSNESS GALORE: The house comfortably accommodated our group of 7, with open areas and cozy dining spaces that brought us together without feeling crowded. BREATHTAKING VIEWS: From the front porch, we enjoyed serene vistas of wildlife, including alligators, dolphins, and stunning sunrises. The back offered delightful deer sightings. SUPREME COMFORT: Everyone praised the comfortable beds, ensuring restful nights. ACCOMMODATIONS NOTE: The bunk beds and queen room share a bathroom, requiring some shower scheduling, but double sinks made it manageable. The bunk beds were a hit, especially comfortable for anyone 5'7" or shorter. EXCEPTIONAL MANAGEMENT: The property manager was incredibly responsive, making our experience seamless and stress-free. ISLAND CHARM: Fripp enchanted us with its easy golf cart navigation and friendly atmosphere, reminiscent of a relaxed, less formal Kiawah. HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Ideal for creating lasting memories, we can't wait to return and highly recommend this serene, comfortable retreat.

The view from the front deck is one of the best on Fripp. You can't beat the Sunrises and watching dolphins with morning coffee. House is Perfect and has everything to make the stay enjoyable and relaxing. The 2 golf carts and a great way to get around the island. Our family really enjoyed our stay and will be looking at future dates to return to this property.
